Wedding Wednesday - Vintage Wedding Planning

This week there are a lot of new additions to this blog. Wedding Wednesday is another one. Each Wednesday, at least for a while, we will publish an article having to do with some aspect of a vintage wedding. For today, we are going to focus on vintage wedding planning. Weddings are very important in the life of many women. The memories from this day will last a lifetime. Whether it is your first wedding or not, or if it is your daughter's wedding the planning involved can be quite intensive. This weekly series will hopefully give you some tips to make planning a little easier. Before you do any actual shopping, it is important to decide if you want a theme of some kind, maybe to simulate another era from yesteryear. You should also decide just how formal an event it will be. Are you looking for something simple yet elegant or do you want the whole formal affair. Choices are endless when planning a wedding and the more you decide ahead of time, the easier it will be on you.

Choosing a Dress

On this day, everyone, and I do mean e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e, will be looking right at the bride. Choose a dress that you want. Everyone is going to have their opinions and some of those may not match yours. Remember that you are the only one that has to like your choice. Give yourself permission to make the day what you want it to be. Picking a Venue

National parks sometimes allow weddings in the fall during the changing of the leaves. If you are looking for an indoor option, consider your theme. The little things matter. Again, consider your vintage theme when picking out invitations. Try to keep the font and wording as close as possible to your theme.
